Welcome to Goa. Welcome to a one of its kind Cycle Touring Holiday of Goa.  "CYCLEGOA" is run by two British cycling enthusiasts who enjoyed Goa so much, that they decided to live there. Goa is literally a paradise packed with many surprises, from its busy bustling cities, Christian churches, Hindu temples, through to its endless sandy, palm fringed beaches. For centuries, Goa was under Portuguese rule. As recent as 1961, it was returned to India. However as a result, you will witness for yourself the influences left behind by the Portuguese, blended with that of the Hindu Indian, which make Goa unique to other parts of India. Our aim is for you to experience the hustle and bustle of day to day India, but also to indulge in the calm and beauty of scenic Goa. It is paradise. The itinerary for these tours have been designed for you to explore and discover the real Goa, travelling through its small villages and visiting its major cities. We will also be visiting many of Goa's places of interest, such as the temples at Ponda, the not to be missed Dudhsagar Falls and the beautiful Paradise beach at Palolem. We aim to give you a good blend of cycling and relaxation on the beach. Longer cycling days are always followed by rest days, so there is ample time for rest and relaxation, and let's not forget about that all important suntan. ACCOMMODATION Your base for the holiday will be situated in the exotic and tranquil village of Cavelossim, in the South of Goa. You will stay at either the luxurious 'Mobor Beach Resort Hotel' or its sister hotel 'Gaffinos'.  The facilities at Mobor Beach Resort include swimming pool, sun deck with free sun loungers, bar, restaurant and a parade of shops where you can enjoy Italian Ice Cream / Coffee, pamper yourself in the beauty salon (they will cater for men as well as ladies), Ayurvedic Massage to ease those aching muscles or de-stress completely . Cyclegoa's office is based at the Mobor Beach Resort Hotel.     Accommodation will be a double bedded room with ensuite facilities, based on two people sharing and is on a bed and breakfast bases. A single supplement does apply, but please email for further details. THE TOUR On Touring days, lunch, refreshments and an evening meal are included within the holiday price. On Rest days (of which there are three that apply), lunch and an evening meal are not provided, giving you the freedom to explore and enjoy the local restaurants at your leisure. The course for the tour starts with a few days gentle riding and rest, then heads North, via Ponda to the Capital city, Panjim, where we will spend two nights. We will then travel further north to the legendary Anjuna market via Fort Aguada. The market is a must for the would be shopper, but you must remember to barter. A taxi will meet us and bring us back to Cavelossim, along with your shopping and of course the bikes. We then have a fantastic river cruise where you can watch the dolphins swimming in the Arabian Sea, fishing and bird watching, or if you prefer, a day on the beach. We then head South to Palolem. The ride to Palolem is beautiful and takes us through the mountainside as we cross over the 'Western Ghats". The journey is hard going in parts but the views are spectacular and the journey downhill is quite something. We spend two nights in Palolem. This is the home of 'Paradise Beach'. We then ride back to Cavelossim. This is followed by a "rest day". Our next journey is to Dudhsagar Falls, when you can experience a journey by train. Here you can feed the cheeky monkeys and swim in the refreshingly cool waters at the bottom of the falls. The whole of the tour is supported with the sag (Aloo) wagon and fully guided. We will carry all of your shopping and overnight bags. We will provide refreshments along all of the routes and there will be ample opportunity to stop. You may choose to spend the last couple of days relaxing, or alternatively choose a ride and we will only be too happy to support you. See itinerary for further details.
